AJ Nonwovens Diverts 1.8 Million Pounds of Material from Landfills Through Sustainable Manufacturing Practices
Hampton, NH – September 9, 2025 – AJ Nonwovens (AJNW) is proud to announce a major sustainability milestone: the company has successfully processed more than 1.8 million pounds of material that otherwise would have ended up in landfills. This achievement reflects AJNW’s ongoing commitment to reducing waste and advancing sustainable manufacturing practices across its facilities.
“Our Hampton site has been at the center of this initiative, and I couldn’t be prouder of the team’s efforts,” said Dean Landry, VP of Operations at AJNW Hampton. “By rethinking how we handle byproducts and incorporating innovative recycling methods, we’ve proven that sustainability and operational excellence can go hand in hand. This milestone is just the beginning—we’re determined to build on this momentum and continue driving positive impact for our customers, our communities, and the environment.”
AJNW’s sustainability strategy is built around three core pillars:
- Waste Reduction: Expanding the use of recycled inputs and diverting millions of pounds of potential landfill waste into productive use.
- Product Innovation: Developing high-performance materials with a smaller environmental footprint.
- Community Commitment: Partnering with customers and local stakeholders to promote circular economy solutions.
This achievement marks an important step in AJNW’s journey toward building a more sustainable future for its employees, customers, and the industries it serves.
