Michael Olsson Will Join Board of Directors Effective January 1, 2021

AstenJohnson is pleased to announce that Michael Olsson will be joining our Board of Directors effective January 1, 2021.

Michael is a Member of the Board of Ekman & Co., a large international family owned company in pulp and recycled fibers. He is also an advisor to a number of others, including industrial conglomerates such as Ernströmgruppen. His previous experience includes executive C-level roles with Electrolux, more than thirty board positions, and over forty M&A transactions.

He believes that combining good people with leadership, tech and strategy is central to achieving successful and sustainable levels of growth and profitability. When asked about the current state of international business, Michael said, “I believe that in the quite unpredictable economic situation the world is in today, these are probably times where Boards have to take strategic responsibility for their companies on a historically unprecedented level and make sure to reshape strategy rather than solely remain the governors of governance.”

Michael is a Harvard Business School graduate (OPM), and holds a Master of Science in Business and Economics from Stockholm School of Economics and McGill University. He served as Lieutenant in the Swedish Marines Reserves.

After living abroad, Michael and his family are now based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Please welcome Michael to AstenJohnson!
