Located in Elizabethtown, KY. Joined AstenJohnson in 1998. Daryl has over 26 years’ experience in the paper industry which included paper making roles from core cutter to Machine Superintendent at International Paper, Newsprint South, Inland Container, and Cedar River Paper before joining AstenJohnson. Daryl has held roles as Sales and Service Technician for forming, press and dryer product. Daryl is currently the Strategic Business Development Team / Papermaking Specialist Team Leader. Green Belt certification in Lean Sigma tools benefits Daryl’s role in optimization of the paper machine equipment and paper machine clothing to improve customer operations.
Located near Charlotte, NC. Joined AstenJohnson in 2007. Dave has over 33 years prior papermaking experience at Brunswick Pulp and Paper, Boise Cascade, Willamette Industries, Champion International, US Corrugated, Valmet and Thermo Fibergen. As a member of the Strategic Business Development Team / Papermaking Specialist Dave focuses on optimization of paper machine equipment and paper machine clothing to improve customer operations. Dave has a bachelor in applied science degree from Miami University and is Green Belt certified in Lean Sigma
Located in Conway, AR. Joined AstenJohnson in 2004. Bill has a BSEE degree from the University of Arkansas with over 33 years of experience in the paper industry. His prior experience before joining AstenJohnson was with the Georgia Pacific Corp. at Crossett, AR., Port Hudson, LA., and Naheola, AL. He worked as a Machine Hand at the Crossett Mill for the first 11 years out of high school, before pursuing an engineering degree. After graduating, Bill served for 2 years as an Electrical /Instrument design Engineer for Phillips Petroleum at the Borger TX refinery before returning to the Paper Industry. Bill has held positions as Process Control Engineer, Instrument/Electrical Project Engineer, Instrument /Electrical Supervisor, and Paper Machine Superintendent on 5 different machines. Bill’s primary responsibility with AstenJohnson is tissue paper machine optimization with the Strategic Business Development Team/ Papermaking Specialist.
Located in the Mobile Alabama area Butch has 28 years in the industry. Butch worked for Asten Johnson from 2004-2012 in sales in the S1 region. He is a product Champion in Press, Forming and Dryers. His most recent position was technical assistant to the paper mill at Boise Jackson. He also was the superintendent of the J3 machine before taking a position with Asten Johnson in 2004. Butch worked for Willamette Industries and Georgia Pacific both on the packaging grades. Butch has worked every job on a paper machine from utility to Machine Superintendent and draws from this experience in his current role of Strategic Business Development Team / Papermaking Specialist to optimize paper machine equipment and paper machine clothing to improve customer operations.
